Buenos días, buenas tardes o buenas noches a todos.

Me presento: Mi nombre es Ángeles y este es el primer podcast en el que voy a intentar presentarme.

Bueno, la idea que tengo para el podcast es hacer grabaciones diarias… o cada dos días, dependiendo del tiempo que… que tenga. Y escribir a continuación el texto, para que todos vosotros podáis escuchar cómo se pronuncia en español, poder… ehh…. para que vosotros podáis también identificar los sonidos con las palabras y, bueno, espero que esto sea útil, y si tenéis alguna opinión o algún tema del que queráis que hable, aquí estoy.

Spanish Verb Vivir (To live) – Present Indicative Conjugation

Yo vivo (I live)

Tú vives (You live –informal, singular-)

Él / Ella  / Usted vive (He / She lives / You –formal- live)

Nosotros / nosotras vivimos (We live)

Vosotros / vosotras vivís (You live – informal, plural)

Ellos / Ellas / Ustedes viven (They / You –formal, plural- live)

Vivir is a regular verb.

Spanish Verb Decir (To say, to tell) – Present Indicative Conjugation

Yo dgo (I say)

Tú dices (You say –informal, singular-)

Él / Ella  / Usted dice (He / She says  / You –formal- say)

Nosotros / nosotras decimos (We say)

Vosotros / vosotras decís (You say – informal, plural)

Ellos / Ellas / Ustedes dicen (They  / You –formal, plural- say)

Decir is an irregular verb.

I just recorded these sentences, in Spanish. They all include subjunctive verbs, as a complement to my new Bellaonline.com article: Introduction to the Spanish subjunctive mood.

Here’s the transcription:

1. Ana está en casa (Ana is at home.)
2. No creo que Ana esté en casa. (I don’t think Ana is at home.)
3. Es importante que Juan me llame a las cinco.(It’s important that Juan calls me at five o’clock.)
4. Es necesario que vengas conmigo. (It is necessary that you come with me.)
5. Quiero que me digas la verdad. (I want you to tell me the truth.)
6. Quizás Ana venga mañana. (Maybe Ana will come tomorrow.)
7. No creo que sea demasiado tarde. (I don’t think it is too late.)
8. Dudo que María quiera comer contigo. (I doubt María wants to have lunch with you.)
9. Si yo fuera rico viajaría alrededor del mundo. (If I was rich I’d travel around the world.)
10. Si (tú) vinieras conmigo, te divertirías mucho. (If you came with me, you’d have a lot of fun.)
11. Si tuviera tiempo suficiente, iría al parque. (If I had enough time, I’d go to the park.)
